We were sent their Music and Sound Box

They were way excited to start this project, any kind of Arts & Crafts are their favorites and mine too; it helps keep them away from tvs and games and makes them actually use their imaginations!!

In the box there were 3 activities, Make a Drum, Sound Memory, and Chime Song, this lovely box also included scissors, so absolutely everything you need is in the box, no searching through the house for an item you need to complete a project, it's all right there!!

The First activity we did was the Drum,  the girls were so excited about this one and I was very impressed by the materials sent to create the drum with! In the Drum kit you have a very sturdy cardboard ring, nice leather piece clips and an instruction/idea book! This drum craft is made to last none of this create it and use it one time type crafts, The girls even took turns rebuilding the drum so they could each get a turn with it, very simple to make, so much fun for the kiddos, and made to last!

Next up was the Chime activity, this was by far their favorite to make and play with! With this Activity you use the Box itself for the craft, which I loved truly using every aspect of the Wummelbox! We built our chime hung it in the box, with magnets (that are included) then my oldest daughter started composing her own song with the notes and music sheet that was included, they love playing these chimes and learning about the different sounds the different size chimes make! Once again this craft is made to last and be used over and over they have been playing with this everyday for almost a week and it works perfect!!

The Last activity we did was Sound Memory, the kit included small film like containers and a variety of objects to put into the containers, then it's like a matching game but for your ears, you shake the containers and try to match the 2 that sound a like, it was a lot of fun watching them try to guess which ones were the same, and I just loved seeing them have fun learning! In fact she went to preschool the next day telling her teacher all about the "sound Match game". They have also used the containers for Maracas in their little sound band, one plays the drum one the chimes, and then one is on the "Maracas".

Overall I was Highly Satisfied with Our WummelBox! The WummelBox is fun, learning, and creativity all in a Box for a child! With WummelBox you know you'll receive great projects with high quality material made to last!
We Love WummelBox!!

ToyState Review!!

I was recently sent 3 amazing new toys from ToyState to review for you guys!

All three of my children love playing with any sort of vehicle type toys. Yes, even my girls, some of their favorite toys are what are commonly classified as “boy toys” and while I don’t buy into the typical toy stereotype, my girls are prime example of it, they can go from playing pretty princess dress up to playing ninjas and monster trucks just like that!! I see nothing wrong with girls playing with cars and all that stuff, it’s actually nice that they will because that means my son isn’t singled out playing by himself they enjoy playing together! Anyways, thanks to
Toy State we were all able to try out and have some fun playing with some of their car toys.

First a little about ToyState:

“Founded in 1984, Toy State is an innovator and an industry leader in the manufacture of licensed and highly stylized lights and sound vehicles. Toy State’s core portfolio includes Road Rippers® lights and sound vehicles, as well as Cat® and Cat® Preschool lights and sound construction toys. Working in-step with the world’s leading automakers, and Caterpillar, the leading manufacturer of construction equipment, Toy State products provide hours of enjoyment for kids of all ages."

The first toy out of the box was the Road Rippers Monster Truck!

As you can see it was the Dinosaur one, which thrilled my 6 year old who just spent a week learning about dinosaurs at school!!

Road Rippers Monster Trucks(ages 3+, suggested retail: $19.99)

The motorized truck rolls over anything in its way. Realistic monster truck sounds and driving tunes help your kids feel the power! Styles include: Bigfoot, Ramunition, Raminator and Snake Bite.

Cool body styles and paint schemes on unique Road Rippers-styled monster trucks! Includes exciting truck and driving sounds, light effects, and announcer-themed vocals. Requires 4 "AA" batteries (included). For ages 3 years and up.
Our Thoughts: My Kids love Monster Trucks and ToyState did not disappoint them with their new Dinosaur Truck. It has not only an awesome design but it’s also motorized, lights up and has fun sounds! It goes forward, backward, has realistic four-wheel drive and rolls for its different motions. It is not remote controlled but has buttons on the top for kids to push, which i find to work out for them much easier. Also Toystate add an amazing bonus to this truck with parents in mind a MUTE Switch!!!! (finally a toy company understands while we may love the toy sometimes it needs to be quite lol) Three AA batteries are required BUT it DOES come with them, yay for including batteries so kids can play with it right out of the box.

Second Up CAT Rev It Up (Retail Price: $9.99, Ages 3+)

The Cat machine styles with a ‘rev-up’ motorized driving feature. Rev up and watch them roll!! Assortment includes: Dump Truck and Wheel Loader. No Batteries Required.

Our Thoughts: These are fun trucks that are push powered. This is easy to play with even for little kids, my youngest can make it go on her own. You simply pull it back and let the car go. The trucks do NOT take batteries, big bonus there :) My youngest likes to load the back of the truck with her little animals or blocks and drive it around. Overall great quality and was appreciated most by my youngest, I couldn’t get her away from it!!

Thrid was Road Rippers Hatchbacks (Suggested Retail Price: $9.99, Ages 3+)

Free-wheeling rides with a unique rotating speaker bed feature! Take the car for a spin, pop the hatch and enjoy cool tunes matched with each of the 3 unique speaker bed designs. Available in Ford Fiesta and Mini Countryman WRC styles

Our Thoughts: We received the Mini Countryman WRC Hatchback, and it was a fun toy to play with! When you lift the Hatchback on the car, speakers come forward and light up playing some pretty fun music, but the fun doesn’t stop there this car also has headlights that light up and a way fun design, and it too INCLUDES the batteries!!! Priced at only $9.99 this is a great toy for your little one to discover or even to give as a gift (my 6 year old already told me that we have to get his bestfriend one for his upcoming birthday!)

Overall ToyState has great products that both kids and parents will enjoy! These are a great toys that most importantly entertain my kids . I think the best review I could give would be that my my kids love them!!

Do I have any Shake it Up Fans out there?!

I was recently given the Chance to Review The New Disney CD
 "Shake It Up: I <3 Dance" !!!

I'm Sure if you have a girl in your life between the ages of 6-12  you've probably heard of Shake it Up! My oldest daughter is 5 1/2 (she insist on adding the 1/2 ) and I have younger sister who is 12 that introduced her to the Disney Channel Show "Shake it Up"!

If you aren't Familiar with Shake it Up it is, like I've mentioned, a Disney Channel Show targeted for children ages 6-12  and is about best friends who want to be professional dancers and have sort of realized their dreams by becoming back up dancers for a popular TV show - a show within a show, but it's full of fun dancing and music that my daughter loves!! Also it isn't a show that is unappropriated for her age so that's a huge plus!

She mostly watches it while dancing around the family room to all the fun music featured in the show so naturally she was thrilled when we received the CD in the Mail! She immediately went and put on her "fancy clothes" (her words not mine lol) and started a dance party right away!!

She's also had friends over since receiving the "Shake It Up: I <3 Dance" Cd and of course that was the first thing she showed them!!

The album features 12 dance tracks from the show's third season and has collaborations with many other Disney stars.  My personal favorite was the remake of Nancy Sinatra "These Boots are Made for Walking." and my daughter's favorite was "This is My Dance Floor".  The tunes are catchy fun and trendy and make you want to dance! And the Songs are totally age appropriate and total kids poppy music no offensive words or phrases, something that is truly hard to find for younger children!!
