I have 3 young children and it seems like every week they
are outgrowing their clothes/shoes (well not every week but you know what I
mean they grow FAST). So, I'm a regular consignment store shopper always
looking for great deals and stylish clothes to dress my little minions in, but
they are young and are NOT patient enough to let me scour through racks in
stores, so I was ecstatic when I discovered thredUP!!

ThredUP is an amazing online store that accepts and sells
children’s gently used clothing! And when I say gently used I mean it, a lot
still has tags and they check their product thoroughly to make sure they aren’t
damaged, too worn, stained, or anything that you wouldn’t want! And the prices
are AMAZING!!
I got $20.00 to spend at thredUP and I got SO much!!

That’s A LOT of GREAT items for such a low cost and here are
the photos to show you the quality of the items
The Old Navy jeans look how stylish and in good of shape they are in absolutely no fraying on bottom! They look brand new!!
The Landsend outfit ! I just love this one so much!

And last but not least Batman set!!
Like I said thredUP also excepts very gently used clothing and
the process sending them your items your kids have outgrown is so so easy

You take your time and fill it (you can mix
sizes gender and etc.)

They process your items and pay you for every
item they can resell. Cash out (via PayPal) or use your credit in the store to
refresh your closet with a whole, new wardrobe!!
I can’t wait to order a bag (I think I needed at least 5 lol)
to finally get rid of the kids items that they can no longer wear and I can
actually earn money to get them all new clothes, which is great since they are
growing NON STOP!!
I think thredUP is wonderful they sell quality items at a
fraction of the price and it’s so easy to order from home! I plan on doing all
of my shopping for the kids on thredUP from now on and I encourage all of you to

Beware before sending them items to sell. Look up reviews online. There are many with stories like mine. I sent a bag stuffed full of 30+ items, all name-brand and they "declined" all but 5 inexpensive pieces. The stuff they didn't accept included Land's End, TCP, even a VanHeusen 2-pc suit that my son wore ONCE for 3 hours, several NWT and NWOT items, and more. I got less than $10. They can't be making much money by declining to "accept" (and then sell) so many items from so many people, so I'm starting to suspect that they are selling the "declined" items elsewhere (you don't get the declined stuff back; they say they give it to charity or "recycle" the fabric.)
Just proceed with caution!
I had same experience, they kept things I thought they would reject and countless very high price items I received nothing for. I sent over 125 items I was paid for 34 of the cheapest, not paid for a Dansko $70, shoe worn once, A bikini over $65 with tags, etc.... Do not send your items you have zero recourse, just donate or sell locally, were you have control!
I was going to submit a review on Eighty MHP MOm when I noticed the same box of thredup in the same photo that you used? You are two different bloggers but have posted the exact same photo of a box that you received?
My experience was much like Ginnie's experience. I sent in a bag full of treasures, including new and hardly worn Lily Pulitzer, Bonnie Jean, Lipstick and Ralph Lauren dresses. Most were not listed. I sent in a brand new, still in the box, never worn pair of Stride Rite shoes. Those were credited to someone else. So, for a bag overflowing with clothes and shoes that might the requirements I received $38.88 LESS 2% for PayPal. Customer service was not helpful. It was my fault - I should not have been so trusting. That is why I am warning you - do not send ThredUP any clothes.
I also have had HORRIBLE experience sending in a bag to thredUP! Sent over 20 very high quality items, they accepted 4 and paid me $7. I regularly sell on ebay and would have made a net profit of between $40-50 had I sold there! Do not waste your money. I have had some luck purchasing but have also received items with serious flaws and had issues getting properly credited.
I too sent in a full bag of clothing (most of it boys sizes that they didn't even have much on their site) only to get 80 cents for one shirt that they chose. The rest of the clothing (that met all of their criteria online) who knows what happened to it. I was told my other items were not chosen due to stains and tears which is completely untrue.
ThredUp may be a great place to buy clothes from, but DO NOT take the risk of sending your clothes there. Support your local consignment store or even ebay.
Like all of you, my experience with Thredup was horrible. I sent in 28 items, most never worn, all name brands but one. About 6 still had tags on them. Only the Osh Kosh shirt with a tag on it was accepted. A cute Flapdoodles shirt with a tag on it was rejected (and went into their "blackhole" of rejects), like all the other higher brand names. An adorable plaid skirt that was never worn was not accepted. I spent a lot of time looking over the items, even taking pictures of the items so I did not think many, if any would not meet their "stringent" qualifications. All I can say is I feel ripped off, and will NEVER deal with them again. I will sell the clothes on ebay or Mom 2 Mom sales (even if I sell them for $1 each I'm still ahead of what Thredup gave me). So, 28 items sent (Hartstrings, Flapdoodles, Rare Editions, Ralph Lauren) and I got $25. Ironically, the Ralph Lauren which was worn and not fresh looking) was accepted over those with tags on them. BEWARE of this service.
DO NOT SEND YOUR CLOTHES TO THRED UP - BUYER BEWARE - I just sent 25 items and they paid me 9.00 for FOUR. I have no idea what they did will all of my new and hardly worn designer clothing. They are a total RIP OFF and nothing but a SCAM. If you google reviews for THRED UP you will see that I am not the only one. HORRIBLE COMPANY. Give your clothes to upscale/local consignment shops. TOTAL RIP OFF!
